A Nature Poet

There was once a nature poet

Who lived unknown in a forest;

And wrote on birds, flowers he knew,

Wrote on every deer that galloped 

And galloped for his sight;

He rejoiced in their prime

And wept when each fell.

 

This went on for years 

And years till one day, he 

Longed to see a human too, and setting out,

Died on the long,lone way.
