A Home In You
A Home In You
Nights and I were never friends,
Then you came,
Just like the Sun,
Who dies every night to let the Moon breathe.
It's been almost 162 days that you're gone,
I decided to re-visit the place where we first met a year ago,
Once again, my stomach felt the same butterflies it felt when I first saw you.
The warmth of your hug,
Lasted long than your presence.
All the evenings, sitting together,
Playing board games, sipping hot chocolate,
Witnessing the sunset,
Your fingers entwined with mine,
Perfectly like the bridges of metaphors,
Little pieces of my poetry.
I fell in love with you,
Just like one falls asleep,
Slowly and then all at once.
You looked for hope in everyone,
And I, a home in you.
