ARUN KUMAR

 

Arun, by choice, joined the library profession, with qualifications for teaching. He has been in the library profession for more than 22 years and has been working with children for more than 18 years. Reading is his passion. Attending various literary events and sharing his experiences in social media made him believe in lifelong learning and a positive attitude towards life. HARI ARAYAMMAKUL

  

Hari Arayammakul is a soldier-turned-writer. A freelancer based at Kozhikode, Kerala, he has been a regular contributor to the "Middle Column'' in leading English dailies like The New Indian Express, Deccan Herald and The Hindu Sunday Magazine. He also writes short stories and poems for Malayalam literary journals. His debut novel Monsoon Mischief waspublished in 2020. 

LAVANYA NUKAVARAPU

 

Lavanya Nukavarapu is a finance professional who used to deliberate only on finance until one day poems and stories beckoned her. She became a compulsive writer who could not go to sleep without penning at least a few words every day. Her first book Bare Thoughts, a collection of her poems was published in 2018. In 2019, Lavanya published her first novel, The Captive, a psychological thriller that has received outstanding reviews. Her second novel Cigarettes Sex Love published in 2020 explores the complexities of modern-day relationships.

A research paper on Bare Thoughts, The 21st Century Perspectives in the Poems by Lavanya Nukavarapu was presented in February, 2020 by Prof. Sumalya Mali of Saldiha College, Bankura (W.B.) at the seminar "Recent Trends in Indian Women's Literature" organised by Midnapore College, Midnapore, West Bengal.

She is also a professional editor and likes to help upcoming authors in editing/guiding their works and promoting new talent. Her prior editing works include a historical fiction novel, a self-help and a political thriller.

MAHBOOB HUSSAIN

 

Mahboob is a senior software professional who enjoys natural language processing, both the machine learning and non-machine-learning types. In real life as well as in literary pursuits, he values simplicity.

A graduate of VNIT Nagpur, he has an MBA from Webster University (USA), and takes delight in being a reader, programmer, writer and manager. Mahboob founded HydRAW in 2018. He reads and writes across a wide variety of genres and themes.

He has published three short-story collections with the pen name Kalam Babu: It Did Not Happen One Night (2018), There Is No One New Around You (2019) and Transition (2020). His short story The Questionnaire was published in HydRAW's anthology Advent.

NALINI DHARANIPRAGADA

Nalini had a 10-year-long stint as a journalist in Deccan Chronicle wherein she had translated Telugu news items to English and edited them.

Later she worked in ICFAI as proofreader and as an English faculty member in TIME Institute, before joining The Hans India, an English daily run by HMTV. Before retiring for good, she worked with ap7am.com as a content writer. Nalini has done a certificate course in Writing from B-cube.

P. MURALIDHARAN

 

P. Muralidharan is a versatile thinker, critic and writer whose nonfiction debut BUBBLES BURST has been widely appreciated by readers. A well-known writer in Tamil for more than two decades, he is now contributing in English also. In English, not only have his short stories been included in a few anthologies including HydRAW's, but several of them have also been published in online magazines and publishing house portals like Thinkley, Blue Rose, Indian Periodical, Active Muse and Amritanjali.

He is an active member of many global literary societies who have shared his critical review of books and poetry on their social media platform. His contributions have been bilingual. He has also translated 2 books including Shashi Tharoor’s Why I am Hindu into Tamil. He lives in Chennai.

His two completed fiction books, a short story collection Draupadi’s only partner and a novel Boomerang were shortlisted by Cherry Book Awards for the year 2020-21. Both are under editing and expected to be published in about six months. His social media coordinates are

Dr. RIZIA BEGUM LASKAR

 

A gold medalist in M.A. in English, 2003 from Tezpur University, Dr. Rizia Begum Laskar is a teacher by profession with a doctorate degree in children’s literature. She has been teaching for the last 12 years in a college in Dibrugarh, Assam. She got her Ph.D. from Tezpur University in January, 2016 on the topic Negotiating Home in Indian English Children’s Literature: A Study of the Selected Works of Ruskin Bond, Arup Kumar Dutta, Anita Desai, Shashi Deshpande and Salman Rushdie.

Rizia’s primary interests lie in reading rather than in writing. She has been associated with editing a few books which are basically subject related. She has also published academic articles in an array of books and journals. She is also the life member of Council for Teachers’ Education, Assam Chapter. 

SIRISHA NAIDU

 

Sirisha works with a media firm, where she engages closely with the marginalized communities like farmers, weavers, tribals and brings out their stories in the form of short films.

She loves to travel across remote villages in the country, interact with the locals and eat local cuisine. 

SWAPNA PERI

A passionate book reviewer, writer, narrator, translator and a copy editor, Swapna has a B. Tech in Computer Science and is a former SAP Technical Consultant. She is the writer, narrator, editor and translator for three books published with Literoma Publishing, Kolkata. She created and manages the “Book Reviews Café” official blog and Facebook page that contains all the book reviews.

Swapna is also a content writer and reviewer with Storizen Magazine and CriticSpace Journals website. She is a columnist with one of the leading women's websites in Telugu named 'Vihanga'.

SWAPNIL SAURAV

Swapnil Saurav, born in Bihar, grew up in Hyderabad and has lived in the city since 1990. Swapnil earns his living by working in the Software Industry and has over 16 years of work experience.

He started writing in the year 2013 with Technology books and in 2018, he also started writing Fiction stories and novels. He writes about common people and describes things which can happen in anybody's life. He writes prose in English and poetry in Hindi. He has over 15 books to his credit. His Python programming book has consistently been ranked in top 20 programming books on Amazon.in.
