It was a normal day and Rakhi was getting ready for school with her brother Aarav, they both were students of 5th standard. They reached their school and they wished their teachers. After that their class teacher told them that she will teach about tribes in india.

Rakhi asked "Teacher, what are tribes"

Teacher replied, "a group of people that have the same language and customs and that have a leader. There Are more than 600 tribal groups in India "

Aarav asked "Teacher, which tribe has the largest population in India ?"

Teacher replied " The Gond comprises the largest tribal group of India with a population exceeding 12 million." The lowest tribal population is the  Andamanese, with a population of 19."

All students asked the teacher to Tell more about tribes of India. All were very curious to know about them.

Teacher started telling about tribes "In our India, almost every state has some tribal groups. They live together in a decided geographical area and they speak their native language. State Orissa having more than 60 % tribal groups, Mizoram state has highest population in tribal groups. They survive by hunting animals and by carrying out shifting cultivation.

One student asked " Teacher, do Tribes look like humans "

Teacher laughed and said " yes, they also look like us, they wear clothes like us. ...but their clothes are not as stylish and modern like us "

Reema Asked " Their lifestyle is same or different from our's "

Teacher said " Their lifestyle is so different from us, They don't live in luxury lifestyle like us, they do so hard work just to get their daily food. So many of them don't even have gas stove and they cook on dry wood " They don't have electronic devices like us, most of them don't even know about smartphones and television "

Rakhi asked " How they pass their free time "

Teacher said " They are so busy in their life that they don't get free time like us, they don't have machines for washing their clothes, they have to wash their clothes themselves. They don't get electricity facilities like us and they have to go so far for filling water. "

Then another girl asked " They go to school "

"In today's time, so many Tribes are educated but in old times, only few were educated " Said Teacher.

Suddenly the bell rang and the period was over.

Students were so much interested in this topic and asked teacher to tell more about indian tribes next day.

Teacher said "tomorrow we will go for trip and will meet tribal groups " All children felt very happy. Next day they all went to a destination with their teacher, in which a tribal group was living. They were speaking their own native language and they don't any other language, but one man was there who know a bit hindi and english. Teacher asked from the man "What's your name " He said " My name is Bhura" Teacher old him that they are here for school trip and students want to know about tribes and their lifestyle. Bhura said that he will guide them. Teachers and all students were walking behind him and he was showing everything in their tribal lifestyle.

He showed them how they collect dry wood and then they use it for making stove and then they cook food on it. All tribes were wearing so different clothes also they were wearing some accessories. Bhura showed them girls and women were going to fill water from river to use it for cooking, drinking and washing clothes. Some children of tribal group were playing games and all students were watching them. Their games were so different from them so all students were so excited. Then Bhura invited teacher and students to come inside their bamboo house and showed them a women who was making food on a stove made of mud. She was cooking potato - brinjal and chapati.

Bhura offered lunch to the teacher and students. They had lunch and after that Bhura took them to a place to show their tribal dance. Students watched their dance and they loved it. After 1 hour Teacher said " Now we have to go back " All students said bye to all Tribes and said " we will come back again soon".
