Transqueen
Transqueen

Strong desire,
Blazing to be a mermaid,
Evocative dream,
To own Cindrella's outfit,
I found my comfort,
Within those board games,
I found my gender when,
I romanticized to be the Rose,
Where Everyone assumed me a Jack.
Beard and sweat smells,
Haunted me,
My feminine soul,
Came out slitting the manliness,
That neighborhood aunty,
Won't let her son look at me,
All the boys on the playground,
Dared me to come out,
Relations suggested psychiatrists,
Antidepressants became my nutriment,
Yet, The female inside me
Ached to smell the freedom,
While I was confined within the walls,
Poetry came to rescue,
And one day, I found my mama and papa,
With the gift-wrapped box,
They welcomed their trans-queen,
With the new set of lipsticks...
