Grandma

Life seems like a gift today

There is no call, there is no interruption 

No assignment, no pressure

Freedom and freedom, an enchanting voice of heart to cherish life

Everything has occurred only because of the Lockdown 

One trembling voice who needs my caring

And perpetually seeks my love and affection 

I am like a valuable part of her

My beautiful grandmother 

When I used to discharge my assigned responsibilities 

I was compelled to have a boundary line between her and me

Though she had annoyance still she was not revealing 

As she could understand my helplessness 

I couldn't listen to her story and become a part of her sweet betel

But now I can feel her warm touch, 

Her kiss and soft lap to sleep

She doesn't feel helpless today

Even she is careless for her disease 

We are eating together, sleeping together and playing together

Thank you lockdown for giving these precious moments with my dear grandmother.
