A Poet's Solitude
A Poet's Solitude
Hovering over colours of joy, I ponder
Like a bee in a garden, no devils, no blunder
Alas, life isn’t all daffodils and stars
Stretches to insane poverty and scars
No part I want with this darkness impregnable
Surrounded by beauty, I shall lie invincible
No matter where I wander
With glee, I’ll face my problems till I grow older
Looking at these atrocious sights, I feel ill
With guns, little soldiers march but brothers they kill
Who wins the war, does it matter anymore?
Humanity loses, where do all this blood I store?
Let’s swallow our pride and disappear forever
Reappear different, blood we lust never
I searched for happiness and I thought
What happiness has this wealth ever brought?
Let’s dream together of a world impossible
Where I lie in peace, no scream audible.
