The Almighty’s Play
The Almighty’s Play
Those leaves; they scatter,
Again on the ground,
A street full of clatter,
And all the lousy sounds,
Yet again another day,
Crossed on the calendar,
With the sun at bay,
And a garden full of lavender,
A child’s first day,
With his new school bag,
A tiffin full of Maggie,
And his water-bottle to wag,
The old man’s concern,
For his illiterate son,
As he retires in bed,
With a hearty desire of tons,
A girl’s first kiss,
Altering her heart beats,
A proposal so magical,
With a song of Ronan keats’,
An ecstatic mother,
With all her friends,
Conversing a new recipe,
And of course, a serial ,that trends,
A father’s rough day,
With a very tight schedule,
Of meetings and discussions,
And a boss that ridicules,
And far away, up above,
Observes the almighty,
All the protagonists,
Starring in the play:
“Just another day in the life....”
