Where will these roads take me?
Waiting is my spirit for salvation.
Towards the coast, towards the sea,
It is all a part of His creation.
Sometimes I don’t know if
I am bound for eternal damnation.
Here I stand on this cliff,
Singing to you this narration.
I used to be carefree and young,
Now I want to feel protected.
Even though this lyric I sung,
I am left feeling dejected.
Yes, my meadows, I see you,
Pulling me closer to your suburb.
Yet so much that I cannot undo,
Life has kicked me to the curb.
I want to go to the city of lights,
The city of purple lilacs and lilies,
Where the days are short and long are the nights,
And I ponder over the heel of my Achilles.
You may say I am a dreamer,
But I am not the only one.
For my sins, I hope to be a redeemer;
On the horizon, I wait for the sun.
But now my spirit still weeps,
I am my own repression.
The country below me sleeps,
While, to the moon, I make my confession.
I beg for forgiveness, oh listener,
For my act of terrible transgression.
You are in my sorrow, a prisoner,
As together, this lifeless life, we question.
