Outer Body
Outer Body
Friend, have you ever felt yourself hovering over your body?
Watching as it mechanically acts, laughs, lives;
and you, moving it like a ragged doll, trapped in your never-ending own space and time.
Friend, have you felt yourself not being yourself lately?
Keeping up a face that you know will not kick you out of your job,
brushed with frozen kindness that raises many stares but not many questions.
Friend, are you scared?
When you’re everything in nothing?
When you’re sleeping through the chaos?
Friend, I’m terrified.
I don’t want to sleep.
Please, hold my hand
through this eternal trip.
