What is life?
What is life?
Life is a book. Some chapters are sad, some happy and some exciting. But if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter holds. God sends us on the earth with a beautiful gift – Life. Life is nothing but a behavioural change with a scientific view in respect of time and space from every possible angle. Considering the geographical situation worldwide, people are struggling to meet up their needs against hunger, poverty, uncertain and unsafe life. ‘Hope’ to them is like a candle light. Hidden rule in our society is to cultivate intellectual mass. SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) followed by MDGs (Millennium Development Goals) is nothing but a mirror view of the human status in our society.
Involvement leads to a promising life and practice makes perfect with the dainty dish of updated knowledge. 3A (Analyse, Action and Achievement) and 3E (Education, Educator and Experience) are also parallelly important and its utilization can be done through HRM( Human Resource Management). My tutor teaches me as I digest but in school, teaching is generalized and time is constrained.
I am staying in a village, very close to Indian Part of Sundarbans, the world heritage delta announced by UNESCO in the year 1987. But till now, most of the villagers are depended on catching fish and prawn seeds, collecting honey, firewood even in destruction of bio- diversity as they can’t make both ends meet. News covers death on tiger attack, snake bite etc. These incidents are increasing in trend. Value of life to them is questionable, even Covid -19 is not too life threatening to them.
On the way to my school by train with my father, tea seller Ramu used to offer a cup of tea to my father. One day my father asked Ramu about his grandson. He replied he is now studying in University though Ramu and his son had no chance to study formal education. Last 30 years, they are in this profession with honesty and sincerity. Perhaps, that’s why they can differentiate the seven colours of sky instead of blue.
Adoption of technology and motivation of human resource can change the life style of people. In saline prone area, a technology has been established and over the years, the technology – ‘Land Shaping and rainwater harvesting’ has undergone modifications and fine tuned through collaborative participation of farmers and scientists. By creating an On- Farm -Reservoir (OFR), rain water is harvested for agriculture – aquaculture farming. Salinity build-up in soil during dry months is reduced due to raising of lands cutting the upward capillary movement of subsurface saline water, fresh water irrigation and enhanced crop coverage. This technology generates higher farm income, employment and better livelihood security.
Gender biases is a big issue even in third-world country. Injustice to a woman is prevailed due to ignorance, unjustified believe of traditional path, disability and also inferiority complex in mind not only in family life but also in education, job places, the establishment of equal rights and so on and so forth. According to A.P.J. Abdul Kalam - “Empowerment of women leads to development of a good family, good society and ultimately a good nation”. A society is like a bird which cannot fly without two wings. One wing is man and the other is woman.
Our Universe is full of resources – technology, intellectual mind, manpower, natural resources. These can be lead to secure life and safety live.
A father said to his son –
Be careful where you walk.
The son responded –
You be careful, Remember that I follow in your footsteps.
The aim of life towards the targeted goal has to be started from childhood with a view to a glorious world. Every footstep in the earth will make a footprint for the coming generation.
