What A Tree Feels On Its Last Day!
What A Tree Feels On Its Last Day!
Oh hello, I am a Peepal tree. Now you must be thinking what an ordinary life I am living. So let me tell you a story of my ordinary life's extraordinary day. So here it goes...
I grew in a small countryside area where there was peace, people usually opted for cycles or went walking to get groceries or other essentials and used vehicles for special occasions like going on a long trip or emergency purposes. So by taking this scenario into consideration one can say that I was surrounded by fresh air and less pollution and the number of trees around me wasn't less. Usually, children used to sit under my shade after playing or having a tiring day at school. Some birds made me their home by building nests on my branches. In the evening I could sense people thanking me for the cool breeze I provided them. In short, I can say that my life was pretty calm, Joyable and soothing.
A few days later, a number of people in the village decided to make it more civilized and well developed. So they added a few more bus stops, shops, and markets. Soon the same village that once was calm had become crowded and a busy city. Now I could sense that only a few children enjoyed sitting under my shade during their spare time while others were fascinated by an abstract rectangular device which they named as a cell phone.
Soon the day came when a group of people came to design the structure of the road that was getting built right in front of me. My other fellow trees were cut down since they became an obstruction on the road. My life was spared since my position was a little bit away from that of the road. Slowly everything changed. The number of cars and bikes increased than the number of people. And I became lonely all day and night. The birds were in negligible amount and the air around me was all dusty and carbon contained.
And the day arrived when I had to give up my life for raising a children's playground. I noticed a bunch of people along with a few trucks and machinery ready to chop my trunk. Until I heard a few voices of children asking those people to immediately stop their acts and save my life. I recognized that they were the same children who once used to sit under my shade, and play around me and water me from their bottles.
So this is how an extraordinary day in my life ended peace.
