Utmost Satisfaction

Long back, the task of performing the duties of an Election Officer at a distant place was assigned. At that time, a reference was received by my higher authorities and forwarded to me. It mentioned that numerous voters in a small village did not cast their votes in the past elections due to political interference, and requested to enable them to cast their votes at least in the upcoming elections. When the reference was inquired in the village, the contents were found to be true. The higher-ups were informed accordingly. They also visited the village and confirmed the reference's contents. They asked me to fulfil the needs of the voters in the village and promised to provide all necessary support. At one point, I was also afraid to take that action. However, the officers kept their promise and provided all the necessary official support to implement the action. On the day of the poll, security personnel, starting from that remote village to the polling place, stood throughout the way. Some lower-level local officers identified the voters, and the officials stationed at the polling booth recorded the proceedings. The voters who came under tight security cast their votes and expressed their utmost satisfaction. My higher officers appreciated my timely action, and I also felt very proud to have discharged that difficult task.
