Ursa Major

Ramya and her 5 -year- old daughter Nandini, was sitting on the terrace and were staring at the stars. As they were looking at the beautiful tiny dots, Nandini interrupted," Mom you told me that, dad is living with the stars, I too want to go there and meet him, may I go their, please?"She asked her by making up an innocent face.

Ramya wasn't able to scold her daughter or say anything like "Keep quiet!" or " just don't utter a single word now!"As she looked at her all she was able to say was "dear, your father before going over there told me that, he will never allow us to meet him. He, over there, is having just one friend, the Ursa major. He is a bear who lives over there. Then Nandini got up and said, "ok, fine, Good Night"!".

Ramya then thought that she will never talk about it again. Actually Nandini's father was an army man who passed away in a war when Nandini was just 9 months old. Although, Ramya thought that Nandini must have forgotten everything but she didn't. She asked her class teacher the next day, "is there any work by which we can see the stars?" Her teacher replied, "yes, It's the job of an astronaut but you need to study hard for it!" She shook her head and sat down. She then said to herself, "I'll do anything to meet papa and his friend." Nandini then studied really hard and became an astronaut.

While she was about to board for her first mission a reporter asked her: "Ma'am who was your inspiration?" She replied, "My mom, teacher and Ursa major".
