Unexpected Friendship

Dear internet friend, 

Yes! In lieu of texting you, I'm writing you this letter. Today I may post many pictures with my friends but that's not the thing I can do for you! 

Some years ago. 

My Instagram was full of DMs of creepy guys. Every time I uploaded a story, messages kept flooding in, "Beautiful", "Just reply to me once!" And somehow your message caught my eye. I replied, "Thank you." Within a minute you typed a whole paragraph praising me and my writeups! And again, I bothered to reply to you. Instead of ignoring you, I felt to continue talking to you. 

I remember within no time we bonded over "F.R.I.E.N.D.S." Texting upgraded to video calls. Yes, time zones sucked sometimes. We began to open without any fear of being judged. You found a listening ear to your problems and I found someone who trusted me. 'We didn't know each other' is replaced with 'I know you so well!' 

Parents always told me to not talk to anyone over the internet! But now I have proudly proved them wrong by having you by my side no matter what! Sometimes I still pinch myself that I have a friend, indeed best of my friend from the USA! The way you lift my mood, your little compliments on my writeups just makes my day.

 A mere thank you would not at all be worth. So, I have booked your tickets to India! Finally, this Friendship Day, we would be meeting, clicking lots of pictures. I'll also make you your favorite Indian cuisines! The rest we will continue in the inbox. There are already butterflies flying in my stomach! Cannot wait to see you here! Till then sending digital hugs!
