The Witty Deer

Once there lived a deer in the forest. He was very cute. Other animals in the jungle loved him. But there was a cruel lion who used to hate him. One day he announced that every day one animal should come to him for his food or he will kill everybody.

All the animals were worried. They went in a corner to discuss the matter. But they had no solution to save themselves. The deer was also listening to it. At last, he said that he would kill the lion. The animals laughed at him first but then asked what is the plan? The deer said you should watch it tomorrow.

The next day, the lion was waiting for his meal in front of his den. The deer was slowly walking towards the lion. As the lion got ready the deer ran towards another side. The lion ran after the deer. Everyone was surprised. They all said that deer will get killed today. The deer changed to another side.

The deer ran very fast but the lion was not far behind him. The lion was running so fast that at some moment the deer would be killed. But the deer changed the side towards the river. The animals looked surprisingly. They all prayed for the deer’s life. According to his plan, he jumped cautiously over the bridge.

As soon as the lion tried, the bridge broke in the middle. This is because the turtles had come together in a line to form a woody bridge. But when the lion jumped the turtles started swimming in different directions. As soon as the lion fell in the river, he started to drown because he did not know how to swim. The deer won.

Moral – Intelligence is an asset in every situation.
