It was a get together of old friends. Most of my friends working as Software professionals and Government employees.

Having settled life and high paid salaries they can buy things which i never dare to add my bucket list.

Suresh, Krishna, and Achyuth were gossipping about something.

I was just passing by their side. Suresh invited me to share the conversation.

Krishna asked me a question about my salary. It is uncomfortable for me to share my salary details. Because it does not have any handsome package or lavish facilities.

I murmured something. Suresh told Have you people know? Prabhath is a writer. Achyuth opened one of my write-ups on the Internet and read it loudly. They commented enough about my writing and how bad and unpopular I am as a writer.

I came back from the party abruptly without informing anyone.

My Roomie Sekhar is practicing online exam questions on his phone. He asked me to have food.

I said I want to quit writing. Sekhar surprised by the decision and asked me the reason.

I have shared the insults faced at the party.

Sekhar laughed a bit. Really?

Prabhath are you living for yourself or for the people who think they were greater than you and they can insult you for being a writer?

Do you know how much you inspire me to study?

I felt something making me calm and cool.

I have asked how?

You work for 8 hours and two hours you will travel for a job. In traveling, you are writing quotes.

After coming to the room, you are preparing dishes while I am cleaning the room.

You are writing short stories until 11 pm every day after supper.

Are you liking yourself or not? He questioned.

I said Yes. I like writing. I love spending hours to write.

That's all. Don't you think liking yourself is a success?

Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.

He uttered one of my favorite quotes from Maya Angelou.

You are popular or not I don't care, buddy. I am your friend. I wish you all the best. He hugged me.

Now, can we eat?

He dragged me to sit and eat.

I do not know whether I can become popular or not but I think I will never quit writing still I have this friendship as muse.
