THE SUN QUEEN AND KING SIDE BURNS

THE SUN QUEEN AND KING SIDE BURNS

King Side Burns was cruel a king and loathed the sun for it was rather too hot and bright. He was rather too lazy and tardy on his feet, so he ordered his magical sorcerer Side Whiskers to make him flivvers and jitneys to carry him from place to place.

The folks in his kingdom were named the Short-Sided People, the Long-Sided People, the Tight-Sided People, and the All-Sided People. The Short-Sided People were rather too narrow-minded, the Long-Sided People were rather too broad-minded, the Tight-Sided People were rather too stubborn and the All-Sided People looked at all sides of a problem.

All the folks in King Side Burns Kingdom had to bow down to his command and they too had to travel in runabouts, airboats-flying boats which chugged Chug-a-boom and huffed and puffed a lot of smoke.

King Side Burns made his people live in tall concrete jungles and let not a single tree or flower blossom. They smoked on ‘Ciggys’ and ate the fruits and wines made by the hardworking “Sun-Signer’s” of Sunshine Village. The hardworking Sun-Signer’s had sun-tanned skins, unlike the people of King Side Burns's kingdom, who had pale white faces and flaxen hair just like him.

Meanwhile, the magical sorcerer Side Whiskers made tall beehives and furnaces which invented ‘Biscuit Tin Telly Boxes’, ‘Call Boxes’, and ‘Garbage in Garbage Out Boxes’, to entertain King Side Burns and the folks of the kingdom.

If ever an All-Sided Person threw in an occasional suggestion from the sidelines, King Side Burns would become ever so very furious and would order his Side Kick Soldiers to kill the All-Sided Person with their Side Arms. No one dared to go against King Side Burns's wishes.

Now the Sun Queen who lived in the skies above was very pleased with the Sun-Signer folks of Sunshine Village and disliked very much King Side Burns of the concrete jungle.

One day the Sun Queen sent her courtier Ray Beams and her maids Ray-Bows to help the Sun-Signer folks of Sunshine Village. The Ray Beam Courtiers and the Ray Bow Maids helped in the hay fields of the Sun-Signers of Sunshine Village. They made hay whilst the sun shone and there was enough hay in the barns for the cows in winter.

When King Side Burns heard all about the Sun Queen and that the Sun-Signer folks of Sunshine Village had welcomed her Ray Beam Courtiers and Ray Bow Maids, he was more furious than ever and planned to lay a siege on Sunshine Village.

When the All-Sided People of his kingdom heard about the wicked plot of King Side Burns, they chose to live in Sunshine Village, the other side of the concrete jungle. So quickly and quietly, the All-Sided People sidled out of King Side Burn’s Kingdom lock, stock, and barrel.

The All-Sided People told the Sun-Signer’s of Sunshine Village, the wicked plan of King Side Burns. The Sun Queen Courtiers Ray Beam’s and her maids the Ray Bows welcomed the All-Sided People and told the Sun-Signers of Sunshine Village not to be afraid for they would protect them.

King Side Burn’s soldiers Side Kicks went about on chattels on wheels with their side arms rather stealthily and laid siege to the village.

The Sun Queen’s courtiers the Ray Beams piled up the hay rick into picket fences all around Sunshine Village. The Picket fences were like smoldering hot haywires. King Side Burn’s soldiers Side Kicks could not lay a single hand on the hot smoldering haywires. The Sun Queen’s maids the Ray Bows blew the stamen spikes-pollen of sunflowers and gave them all, King Side Burns soldiers Side Kicks hay fever. It was rather a sight for sore eyes that made the Sun-Signers and the All-Sided People so very happy that they burst into gusts of laughter, kicked their legs in the air and their tummies jiggled from side to side.

Meanwhile, in King Side Burns kingdom the poisonous fumes of the runabouts, airboats, flying boats, and beehive furnaces made huge big black holes through the clouds and the sun became hotter and brighter. Once again King Side Burns commanded his magical sorcerer Side Whiskers to stick up the holes in the clouds with paper and glue, but the magical sorcerer Side Whiskers had a memory like a sieve and without the All-Sided People who gave them advice for the all-sided problems, the holes in the clouds became bigger and bigger.

Alas, King Side Burns's kingdom could live no longer for there was rather too many a hole in the clouds of his kingdom. The Kingdom of King Side Burns was baked to death by the wrath of the Sun Queen. All that King Side Burns's kingdom looked like was a “Concrete Flower Pot!”

While the Sun-Signer’s and All Sided folks of Sunshine Village lived happily ever after for the Sun Queen had sealed their village with her royal seal, the signet ring on which was carved her name in gold “The Steadfast Sun Queen” with a gigantic emerald carved with a horse’s head. Lo! Then against the sun, she showed her “Sun of Righteousness”, who shone upon the happy faces of the folks of Sunshine Village.

The Sun of Righteousness then showered a hail shower of lucky sunstone gems from the blue skies above and sun stars shone in the sky, its red rays glittered above the deep blue ocean. In the end, the celestial aureole of the Sun of Righteousness could be seen brightly shining a golden hue in the beautiful skies!
