The Secret Recipe

Once upon a time there lived a king 👑 named Pandya. The name of his kingdom is Paloma. He had a wife named Rani Rukmini. One day he went for hunting into a dense forest with his companions. His eyes were turned on to a Moose deer as it looked as beautiful as snow with gold plated on it. The king chased the deer and went into the dense forest. After a while, he lost the sight of the deer and even his companions. He lost his way and was unable to choose the correct direction to his kingdom. So, he followed the way of sunlight. After some time, he felt very hungry but could not find any food nearby. After a while, he luckily saw a hut. He knocked the door and an old lady opened the door and asked him " Dear son, who are you and where are you from ? ". " I am Pandya , king of Paloma " replied the king. The old lady welcomed the king and asked him sit. The old lady went into her kitchen and brought a glass of water and offered the king. The king asked the old lady for some food . The old lady went into her kitchen in search of some food and then went into her backyard and brought something to cook. She prepared green chutney with it and served the king along with rice. The king liked the green chutney a lot. After completing his food he thanked the old lady . The king asked the old lady about the directions to his kingdom. The old lady showed him the directions. The king went back to his kingdom . He was unable to forget the taste of the green chutney. He called his chefs and his wife Rani Rukmini and started describing about the chutney "Listen, I want a green chutney which tastes sour and sweet." They tried many unique dishes by changing the ingredients but

the king was not satisfied with the taste. He ordered his minster to summon a order" In our kingdom whoever prepares tasty green chutney will be rewarded and will be given permanent chef job in the royal palace". Yes my lord!! replied the minister and went by his order. On the next day, many people has tried various recipes and went to the king and asked the king to taste and say his opinion. After tasting all of the recipes, he said " All your food items are delicious but not as tasty as the green chutney I had in the forest". The king was very upset and ordered his soldiers " Go and Get the old lady I met in the forest in a respectable manner." The soldiers went to forest and met the old lady and said " We are soldiers from Paloma kingdom and our great king Pandya wants to meet you ." The old lady agreed and went to the royal palace. The king saw the old lady and was excited to know the recipe. "My dear old lady, you were so kind when I got lost in the forest and offered me food. He offered her a huge number of gold coins as reward and asked "May I know the recipe of the green chutney you made?". The old lady said " Sorry my lord! When you came to my house, there were no vegetables to cook, so I went into my backyard and brought green grass and made the chutney because I didn't wanted to disappoint you and let you starve ". The king was very much moved by her words and thanked her heartfully and ordered the soldiers to deliver grains and food to old lady every month. The old lady thanked the king and left. King felt very happy and made sure that everyone in his kingdom had enough food grains to eat.
