The Sea of Hope

The Sea of Hope

We walked along the gorgeous curves of the seashore that seemed to be going on forever. This is something we do every day. Walking on a path built by nature itself; it makes us feel at ease. It must be a bizarre sight to look at though, six hideous-looking fellows, no more than 16 years of age, casually strolling around on this deserted beach, when it's almost night time.

We are all rejected, abandoned by our families. Simply because we are different. We are all hybrids- half-animal, half-human. We live on this beach itself. No one comes towards this side of the beach. They say the waves are too strong. So this is where we live, anonymously but not alone. We have learned to be each other's support.

We keep only one thought in our heads: one day, a good person will help us get a life. This thought is what keeps us going on. So what the humans say is true, I guess- the spirit of hope never really dies. The sea of hope never dries up.
