The Rich Man and the Beggar

Once upon a time, there was a very rich man who was very selfish. He was very proud of the money he owned. He didn’t give anything to other people. Everybody loved him.

One day, an beggar came to the man and asked for some bread. The rich man refused. Then the beggar asked for milk, cheese and water, but still the man refused.

At last the beggar said to the man, ”Son, Why aren’t you begging, you are even poorer than me!” The man felt ashamed and gave food and water to the beggar. From that day onwards, the man gave up his selfishness and became kind and generous. He started giving food and water to the poor and needy. Now everybody loved and respected the rich man.
