The Proud Stag's Horns

There once lived a stag in a forest. One day, it was standing by the side of the pond, admiring the beauty of its horns. But it was ashamed of its legs and thought it ugly and skinny.

Sometime later, it heard the sound of a few hunters speaking to each other. The stag got alarmed and decided to hide somewhere. While searching for a place to hide, its horns got stuck in between the close branches of the trees.

It began to panic but after trying to escape by nodding its head back and forth, it escaped just in time when the hunters were about to catch it. It swiftly ran away without taking a look back, far, far away from that place.

After the incident, it felt ashamed for underestimating the power of its legs which saved it and overestimating the power of its horns which could have caused its death. From that incident onward, it felt thankful for its legs.

Moral: Be thankful for what you have.
