The Poor Girl Radhika

Once there lived a poor child named Radhika. She lived in a village with her parents. She had great a great interest in study, but due to their poor condition she could not read. One day while she was going to play with her friends in the yard she found a gold coin. She was very happy and told to her mother about the gold coin. Her mother said her that," This is not ours. We should not keep this coin with us." Radhika was a very good girl. She always obeyed her parents. She told her mother," Ok mother I will put the coin where I got it. Then she went to the yard and put the coin where from she got it. After that she went to play. After playing for a while, she returned home. After a while, surprisingly a sage appeared before the Radhika and her parents. They were all amazed and panicked.

The sage told to the family that," Don't fear me, I am a sage. I want to fullfill your wishes for honesty of Radhika. Radhika was happy and said the sage," O Lord..may I have an opportunity to study?     The sage replied," Yes dear, I can fullfill your dream to study." Then the sage granted the boon to Radhika. She was very glad. She read very well and came 1st in her school. Days passed on...Radhika became a doctor and told her parents that," Whatever I have done is because of yours and the sage's blessings who granted me the boon to study. Radhika's parents were very proud of her. The family lived happily. 

Moral- Honesty is the best policy.
