The questions asked in the job interview were still churning in Nawal’s mind.

“To how many people can you sell this product?”

“How many people of your acquaintance use this product?”

He was puzzled because very few questions were asked about his capability or work experience.

These people were only interested to know the extent of his circle of influence so that their product can be sold. They just wanted to peep his contact list & social media following numbers. Today’s business world is based on numbers only. The computers logic and algorithm will do the rest.

But only he was aware that the number of people in his area of influence who could really purchase these products were very limited. In fact, he has already sold to many of them, the product of the company he worked last. He had to create new contacts, if he gets this job.

On the other side of the table after the interviewer has gone, the president of selection committee said,” The social circle of this boy seems to be very large which may have many of our potential customers. His qualification and work experience are also OK. I think he can bring at least 2k orders in this quarter. Let’s hire him. All other members nodded.

When the middleman agent who have arranged this interview knew about his selection, he took a sigh of relief and thought, “my commission is ensured from both sides. The only condition is that this boy should not leave the job within next six months.”

Everyone in the chain of hiring were happy with the process of betting on numbers. The mind game of wits was over between the victim and the hunter.
