The Little Extra Work

There was a businessman named MR. David. He was living in London with his wife and two children. He had a medium-sized boat. One day he felt that it requires repainting. He called a painter and asked him to paint the boat. Afterwards, he went on a business tour of ten days. When he came back he did not see the boat outside the house and he also did not see his two children. He came to know the truth that his two children went into the river to enjoy boating. He was so much tensed and worried and ran towards the river to check whether his both children are safe or not. When he was towards the river he saw both his children were coming towards home along with the boat. MR. David ran towards them and hugged them tightly with happiness, affection and lots of love. His both children were surprised and amazed by their father's behaviour and didn't understand the reason.

MR. David came home along with his children and the boat. He immediately called the painter to his house. He gave him lots of money for painting the boat. The painter was surprised to see that MR. David had paid so much more money as compared to the actual cost of painting the boat. The painter asked MR. David for extra payment given to him for painting. MR. David told him that there was a hole in the boat and because he repaired the hole without any instruction had saved the life of his precious children. The painter said that while painting the boat he saw a hole in the boat so he repaired it. It was just a LITTLE EXTRA WORK for him. The little extra work done by the painter became so vital to saving the lives of his both children. That's why MR. David thanked him from the bottom of his heart for the extra effort done by the painter and so he gave him lots of money.

The moral of the story is if we do little extra work in our life can help us to gain some unexpected benefits. If we help a little extra to some poor student without asking he can study properly. If we do little extra effort in our study we can achieve top rank.
