Many years ago there lived a king who was very fond of hunting. He had a pet falcon with him that he carried on his wrist whenever he went to the forest. One day, the king left for hunting with his courtiers. When he saw a deer cross his path, he gave it a hot chase. But the deer was so fleet-footed that she quickly disappeared deep into the forest, and he chased the deer so far, that he left his men far behind. He searched for his men until he was tired. He saw thin and tiny drops of water. He took his cup out and began to fill it. It took 10 minutes to fill but he was patient and as soon as he was about to drink it his falcon knocked it off. "You stupid and worthless bird! I treat you with affection and love an

d you do this!" Again he began to fill his cup. Again his falcon knocked it off. He said with anger, "Just do it again! Just wait!" Again he filled his cup and his falcon knocked it off. And now, out of blind anger, he killed it. The poor falcon tried to save him because a dragon poisoned the water. The falcon said everything to the king's attendant before he knocked the cup off. The attendant offered water from his flask but the king denied. The attendant told everything to the king. While he drank his water from the attendant's flask, tears rolled down his cheek."Why do you weep so?" "I killed the falcon out of blind anger but he tried to save me. How wrench I am!" He learnt his lesson and never did that again.
