The King And His Four Wives

Once upon a time there lived a king named King Henry. He had four wives and they lived peacefully in their kingdom. The kingdom was very powerful. One day during a war with another kingdom the king was wounded very badly and he was near to his death.

He needed a companion to accompany with him after his death, so he called out for his fourth wife whom he loved a lot; he used to give her all the comforts, jewelry and would always keep her happy. He asked her “will you accompany me after my death”, soon she replied “no, not at all, I will not accompany you and I will also marry another person after you die”. The king felt bad and called out his third wife with whom he used to spend a lot of time. He asked her the same question but then she replied “I am sorry I cannot accompany you but I will surely attain your funeral and will always remember you”. The king felt a bit uneasy and called out his second life that he thought is the most important and gave the most respect. He asked the same question to her but she replied “I am really very sorry but cannot come along with you but can heir your throne to a very good person”. The king got depressed and was not able to understand what to do now. Suddenly a voice screamed that “I will come along with you and will accompany you after your death”. When the king looked back to see who was it, he found his first wife whom he did not care at all and gave no respect to her. He felt so guilty for doing the biggest mistake by not supporting his first wife and by not respecting her.

In this story the fourth wife is our body whom we provide all the comforts and decorate it so that we look good and beautiful and all the people get attracted towards us.

The third wife is like our parents, teachers, friends and the people whom we like the most. We spend a lot of time with them but at last the only thing they can do is attain our funeral and always remember us and our good deeds.

The second wife is our money, possession and our luxury. How much ever rich we are at last a person needs to die and there is no formula or any medicine which can make us immortal. After we die we cannot take money or luxury but can heir it to any other person.

The last but not the least the first wife is like our soul we don’t take proper care of it but at last it is the one who accompanies us after our death. So give time to your soul, listen to it and take care of it, because it is the one who accompanies you. So be happy and live to the fullest.
