The Haunted House

Three best friends, Ram, Rahul, and Shyam lived in a town. They were of the same age. While playing in the garden they saw that a house was being built near the boundary of the town. A few days passed by and the construction of the house was completed.

Then suddenly one day a few people got very sick. After a couple of days, most of them died. People said that all those who suffered and died lived near the new house. According to them the house was haunted by a monster. Nobody would pass that way but still people kept on dying.

This was noticed by the three kids. They decided to investigate the house. So they took a torch and three sticks to defend themselves if there was a monster. They knew that their parents won't allow them to go to that house. So they told their parents that the are going for a night out at their friend's house. They took off in the evening and stopped near a huge stone in front of the so-called haunted house. They saw nothing scary. Ram tried to get into the house through a window by standing on Rahul and Shyam. Ram's hand slipped and something fell down. They ran back to the stone. They mustered some courage and went into the house together. Rahul switched on the torch just to see a monster standing in front of them as if to kill them. They hit the monster with their sticks. The sticks broke. They heard some noise and saw a huge "UFO" flying. The boys screamed loudly for help. Then a man came inside and asked them what happened.

They tried to tell him, but they were chattering and frightened so much that they could not talk. So, they pointed at the monster. He calmed them down and told them that he and his team were shooting a horror movie in the house and the monster was one of the props. They asked him about the "UFO". He said that the "UFO" was made up of clay held by a helicopter flying above.

The kids went home and told their parents everything. By that time the patients were taken to the hospital. The doctor told them that the people were suffering from a disease caused by using contaminated water and has nothing related to the house. The courage shown by kids helped villagers to understand the truth and taught a lesson to all that "Never believe on rumors".
