The Gardeners

It was an enchanting winter morning with flawless weather. Lucas, a poor gardener was taking care of his rich owner’s plants. The garden was gorgeous, it was the most enchanting garden of the tiny village of Carmen. Lucas always took very good care of it, but he was not paid much he was paid $3 for a week and a half piece of bread each day. But the garden was invaluable to him, it was very dear to his heart. He was very much loved by the garden as well as the butterflies that would bloom his mind in spring. Due to cold, no animal was coming out his friend rabbit was hibernating, he could no longer see butterflies. He grew very gloomy during the winter. 

His owners were living outside the village, they would come twice a month to check the garden. They always ill-treated Lucas. Mr Buston would scold him for the smallest mistake, his wife, Mrs Buston was complete obverse she always gave Lucas a hearty tip and always gave him good food. it was 24 December and the young couple climbed out of the carriage. Lucas was waiting for them. He prepared a charming rose bouquet each for Mr and Mrs Buston. Mr Boston pleasantly told, “These roses are very beautiful did you grow them?”. Lucas told “Yes mam, I did grow them especially for you and Mr Buston”. while Mr Buston gave a harsh comment “You should start working harder your lazy fool or I will reduce your wage to only $1. If I visit in January and do not find perfect rose, I’ll turn your wage to $0 !!!” Lucas led them inside with a perfect banquet with Mr Boston loving it and Mr Boston again scolding Lucas. 

Lucas was very depressed. he went and sat on a garden bench and started crying. Mr Hoxford was passing by and saw Lucas’s condition. he went up to him and started to know his problem. Mr Oxford got an idea to save Lucas but he did not mention it to him. Mr.Hoxford was Mr.Boston's best friend in the village. He went and started talking to him Mr Buston said “I am just sick of this gardener; Lucas, he is not very obedient he never listens to me! I am going to replace him Hoxford … have you got any idea of any other Gardner “ Mr.Hoxford gave an instant reply “yes I do know but if you want to hire him you’ll have to give Lucas to me” Mr Buston said ‘” take that garbage Lucas he is nothing more then trash.” So Mr Hoxford came next day with a gardener named Liam Mr Buston handed over Lucas before even telling his wife about it. 1 day Mrs Buston called Lucas, as she didn’t know that he left so Mr Buston introduced Liam to her, she was very mad she hid it and asked: “how much will you pay him for a week?” Mr Buston replied “$10 per week,” Mrs Buston told, “you should give him $5 for a week, you shouldn’t give his salary without knowing how does he work.” This was the scene of The Boston House.

Lucas was working hard at The Hoxford House as well. Mr.Hoxford was a generous man he gave Lucas $10 per week with $3 tip. it was like heaven to Lucas. soon The Boston Family moved in Carmen. soon The Hoxford family garden was the most beautiful in Carmen. Liam was a very lazy person so don't take care of the Boston garden as Lucas did . 1-day king of Carmen announced that the king of Medipole will be coming. he also declared that if find even 1 ugly garden in Carmen the owner's of the house will be banished. Lucas heard the announcement and started working hard as he can. But Liam, on the other hand, heard the announcement but still did not start working and the garden looked very ugly. King started taking rounds and saw the Hoxford Garden and was very much impressed and gave it a 1 st prize. but when he saw the Boston garden he was furious and told Mr.Buston” You are to banished from the grounds of Carmen with this ugly garden, we can't take the risk of this ugly garden in our beautiful village." The Bostons suffered because of their loafy gardener. 

The Bostons pleaded the king to let them live in Carmen... The king was very kind-hearted and let The Boston live in Carmen but on 1 condition that they will be given 2 days to work on their garden. Liam said he wanted 5 days holiday or he will leave Boston's. Mr.Boston had no choice but to give Liam a holiday. The Bostons had to do all the work in the garden . then after making their garden proper Mr.Boston said: " Lucas was better ." Mrs.Boston agreed... They went up to Lucas at Hoxford and apologised. They pleaded for Lucas to come back but he didn't go with The Bostons. The Bostons found a new gardener, he was good, but not good as Lucas.
