The Envious Human Tendency

Humans have a weird tendency to get jealous of stuff others have. Ritu was a 15yr. old girl who had everything in her life. Strength was all she had but the only weakness was her best friend Riya.

Riya and Ritu, Soulmates or you can say constants of each other. The whole school was jealous and felt envious of these two. They played together, read together, eat together; Everything they did was...Together!! And why not? After all they were Soulmates...Constants of each other.

But as we know, the actual craters on the moon can be seen once you go near it. Ritu was so strong with all the things she had in life that Riya couldn't control her heart to get envious. At times she got jealous of Ritu being so perfect in everything but her best friend's side just stopped her from making this mistake.

One day when Ritu scored highest marks and Riya failed; the class thought now they would fight. But Ritu went to her best friend and hugged saying "It's okay! Shit happens." Hugging her more tightly Riya replies "I'm proud of you my girl." Their classmates just got envious but who knew Riya was somewhere upset about two things. Yes firstly she failed but more important was her best friend scored more than her which made her even more depressed.

Not focusing on marks of her best friend if Riya would have focused on own would help her to think positively instead of getting more depressed.

Maybe it's just the human tendency to become "Envious".
