"Wake up, and go fetch water from the well!" yelled her Amma.

It was 7am in the morning, still pitch dark outside and the breeze seemed to be filled with furry. Poor Rima could do nothing, but wake up, and go to the well which was about 2kms away from her house. As she was walking, she saw two boys playing hockey. The game and the way they played fascinated her so much that she just couldn't move. She stood there, in awe, admiring their skills.

Since childhood, Rima had always been a sports fanatic. Almost all kinds of games captivated her especially hockey. Unfortunately, she never had the freedom to pursue her dreams. Born in an orthodox family, she lived a typical life. Her wings were clipped, but she never gave up on the desire to fly.

She pondered upon these things and that’s when the ball hit her feet. Out of nowhere, she exclaimed, "Can i please join you guys?" The boys rather flabbergasted, bursted out laughing. This disheartened Rima but she was adamant and wanted to play a shot. Seeing her confidence the boys gave the hockey stick, longing to giggle as she would play her first shot. Rima held the hockey stick tightly and aimed to hit the ball as if she was playing in a stadium and there were a hundred people cheering for her. The way she walked towards the ball indeed astonished the boys. And the moment was finally here! She did a fantabulous job and her aim was absolutely correct! The boys were again surprised but this time instead of critisizing her, they just adored the way she played. It undoubtedly was praiseworthy.

Not having returned for quite long now, Rima's amma got perturbed and came there in search of her. The moment she saw Rima holding a hockey stick, she was instantly wrapped in wrath. She yelled at rima and said, "What will your paa and others in the village say? You clearly have got no shame! Henceforth you aren't stepping out of the house. Do you get that?" Rima couldn't stop crying. She had no option and in agreement, she had to nod her head. Luckily, one of the two boys stepped forward and appreciated her. Hearing all of this, amma just couldn't believe her ears. Rima now gathered courage.

She had faith in herself. She believed that she could do anything that came to her mind. She told her amma, "Amma, even I have feelings. Even I have dreams. And no matter what I shall pursue them." She soon realised that it was all because of the two boys who gave her a chance to play and one of them who confronted her Amma. She thanked them and certainly couldn't resist getting clicked with them. After all, it was a day and a memory to be treasured.
