THE ADVENTURES OF UNKNOWN PLACES

CHAPTER 1:

The weird Hot desert

Once upon a time, there lived 2 children, named Shaurya and Shreya. They both lived in Matheran, Maharashtra, INDIA. They both were playing in the woods and then suddenly it started raining very hard. Then they came near to their treehouse on the way back home. They thought it’s better to go to the treehouse rather than getting wet. Then they climbed up the long stairs. After climbing up Shreya saw a book falling at the base of the treehouse from the bookshelf, then she said look, Shaurya what a wonderful place. She said wow!!! I wish I could go there, pointing at the cover of the book and looking at the baby camels, which can be seen on the cover of the book. The name of the book was the weird hot desert in Africa. The name of the place was the Sahara Desert after some time suddenly the wind started to blow, the trees started to shake and then everything was silent and quiet. Both Shaurya and Shreya tried to open their eyes but they could open their eyes only when everything stopped. Shaurya stood up and peeked out of the treehouse window, they were in the desert beside the baby camels, they were cute but Shaurya and Shreya were curious how to get back home. Shreya said, I think I should try to do the same what I did before to get here, so both started to find Matheran book. Shaurya found the Matheran book and quickly said: “I wish I could go there by pointing at the cover of the book.” Then the wind started to blow, the trees started to shake then everything was silent and quiet. Then they opened their eyes and they were surprised to see that their treehouse is magical. Then Shreya said, “I want to go back there in the desert please”. Shaurya said “No”, then she said, “please, please”. Shaurya said, “huh ok fine let’s go”. Shreya jumped with excitement and said woho!! let’s go, she pointed at the book cover of the desert and said “I wish I could go there” pointing at the cover of the book, the wind started to blow, the trees started to shake and then everything was silent and quiet, and when they both opened their eyes, they found that they were in the desert again. Shaurya said, “wait to look our clothes also have been changed in the style of the people who live in the desert and we also have a water bottle shaped in a circle”. Shreya said, “yes, let’s go now”. Shaurya said, “I’ll need my backpack in case we need extra water, and this book for information. I am ready to let’s go now!!!”. Shreya also took the two baby camels with them while they both were walking. Shaurya was reading the book he found something interesting in the book, they were 1000 years back in time. They found a palace on the way, on which they were walking. They entered the palace and found that people in the place were eating something. They asked someone, what time is it, one of the person’s presence in the place said: “it’s lunchtime”. Shreya said, “he is a kind man”. Shaurya said to the person “can you tell me what do we eat here”. The person was curious to know, where did these children come from? Shreya said, “amm… we just want to know what is for lunch today”. He said we in dinner and lunch we eat as follows; Gazelle, Ostrich, or Rabbit meat that was hunted and cooked with Thyme, this is what we eat every day if we find these animals and all the other required stuff. For breakfast, we have Ostrich eggs and fruits including Dates, Figs, Palm, and Cactus. Then the man said, “wow how cute these small camels are?”. Shreya said “yes” and then she asked can you also give us a tour of the palace. The man said “yes, yes why not”, I just have one question where are you from? They both said they were from Matheran, Maharashtra. Shreya asked the man to give them a tour before he could ask asked another question. The man took them for a tour, first, he showed his house it was very big and then he showed some pyramids, he also told that when people die they mummify them and if a king dies they make a very very big pyramid. After some time, it was the night everyone enjoyed a lot. Then the man said to come with me, I have 4 beds in my room and you all can sleep there. I will tie your baby camels on a pillar. They all slept in the room. When they woke up in the morning the man said come eat some food, Shaurya said “we need to brush our teeth, the man gave them two sticks and said now brush your teeth. Shaurya said “ok”, it tasted weird but they had to brush their teeth. After brushing they ate only vegetarian, such as fruits, dates, palm, and cactus. Then after eating they said “bye and thank you for your care”. They gave the two baby camels to the man. The man gave a compass and said take this it will help you in your travel, Shaurya took it and went exploring again after some time they reached an island of snow, out of nowhere in the desert, Shaurya exclaimed” oh! man.

CHAPTER 2:

The Snowy Island In The Desert

Shreya said, “I am scared it’s going to be cold”. Shaurya said, “it’s going to be fine come on”. “Okay,” said Shreya. Shaurya entered the island, but when they entered the temperature was cold and it was snowing. Shaurya was curious to know how it was snowing, then after some time they came out of the island of snow, then Shaurya understood that it was another part of other states. Shaurya went in towards the deeper side, Shreya tried to warn him but he kept going. Shreya kept following him and then suddenly the wind started blowing so hard, that it was hard to see, and the snow was getting thicker and thicker, it was hard to walk. Both heard a cry like someone was badly hurt it was a wolf cub trying to walk to the cave so, Shreya and Shaurya took the cub to the cave. After taking the cub to the cave Shaurya went back to the snowy place where they were initially going. Shaurya suddenly fell into a big hole!

CHAPTER 3:

HELP!!! I Fell In A Big Hole And Found A Hamster

Shaurya screamed help!!! “I fell into a big hole help Shreya help!!”. Shreya caught Shaurya’s hand but Shreya could not hold his weight so, Shreya also fell into the big hole also. Then Shaurya said “whoa whoa whoa! this is a cave. Suddenly a hamster fell on Shreya she shouted “ahhhh!” it’s a mouse, Shaurya said “stop shouting it’s a hamster, just keep it on the floor, okay”. Shreya said “aww! but it’s so cute can we take him with us, Shaurya said no! seriously. Shreya said “please”, Shaurya said oh! ok fine put him in my backpack. Now let go and stop wandering around. Shreya said, “ok, let’s go”. As they were walking through the spooky cave the hamster in the bag was squeaking loudly, Shreya asked, Shaurya to stop and give the hamster to her. Shaurya said “Ok”. Then the hamster jumped away from Shreya’s hand and squeaked again and then, Shreya said” let’s follow him I think he wants to tell us something. Shaurya said “no”. Shreya said “stop now listen to me or else you will get in another problem”. Shaurya said “Ok”, sighing. Shreya said “Ok! Let’s go”. The hamster continued to run and both of them followed the hamster, then the hamster stopped and squeaked again then Shreya said “look there is a ship”. I think the hamster wants to sail us back home, Shaurya said “yes it will be great”. Shreya picked up the hamster and then all three of them went to the ship and got abroad and then Shaurya said “I don’t know how to make the ship move. Shreya said “move, and hold my hamster”, Shreya turned the wheel on the ship super-fast and the ship started to move and then slowly they reached the ocean.

CHAPTER 4:

Back to Sail Home Instead Went To Explore The Found Map

Shreya was driving the ship and Shaurya was playing with the hamster, suddenly the hamster went rolling into a room. Shaurya followed him and found that there was a map beside the hamster. Shaurya thought to follow the map. He told Shreya to follow the map, Shreya said: “yes ok give the map to me & I will follow it”. Shaurya went back into the room & picked up the hamster again. He started playing with it. After some time, they reached on one Island. They came down the ship and started walking as per the map. They were checking the landmarks. In the meanwhile, the hamster went to sleep and then Shaurya put the hamster into the bag.

The first landmark was the pirate flag. They found the pirate flag after the graveyard. The graveyard was very spooky and it was very big. The second landmark was to find a village before they could find the village they had to cross a jungle. It was very big and they could hear sounds of monkeys and then suddenly, Shreya saw a monkey and said to Shaurya, hey! Look there is a monkey. Shaurya said, “huh, stop goofing around look at the map and try to find the treasure”. Shreya said “okay”. Later in the forest, they found feathers of a peacock. In the bush there was a noise Shaurya looked around in the bush and he saw a peacock and said, Shreya look at that beautiful peacock she said wow!, at that time the hamster woke up and started squeaking Shaurya took off his backpack and took out the hamster and gave it to Shreya. Shaurya started walking again after some time they came out of the forest. After some time they reached the village, there they found a hut in which there was one old woman with her cute little cat. Shreya said, “let’s go there”. Shaurya said, “no! we should not meet strangers”. Shreya said, “she looks kind”. Shaurya said, “Ok let’s go and take a rest”. So, they both went in. The old women gave tea and biscuits to both of them. The hamster looked excited and then Shreya gave the hamster pieces of biscuit. After eating they said, thank you for providing us shelter, rest, and everything. The hamster was also waving his hand. Then Shaurya said to look in the map what’s the next landmark she said it’s a big statue. He said oh... ok, they walked ten steps and they could see the statue it was so big and enormous. Shaurya asked what’s next. She said nothing, we need to go beside that mountain that they could see. After an hour they reached the mountain and they could see that something was buried but the soil was too hard to dig with hand so, Shreya stood up and started looking around. She saw a shovel on the ground beside a bush, she picked it up and gave it to Shaurya. He started to dig and wala!! the treasure was revealed and now they had to go back to ship. Shaurya said let me check the time he pulled out his watch and said that it’s 12:41 let’s go back. The time they reached back it was dawn. After reaching the ship, they slowly placed the treasure at the ship. Shreya spun the steering wheel and then Shaurya opened the treasure and then suddenly the ship tilted and the treasure went sliding towards the door and the door swung open with a slam and six pirates came out of the door.

CHAPTER 5:

A Pirate Ship!! And Reached Home

Shaurya screamed ahh!! as he saw a pirate. Shreya was shocked as well. The pirates asked “ar mattes why are yu her”. (TRANSLATION, AR MATEIES WHY ARE YOU HERE) Shreya said I am very sorry we did not know that this is your ship. Since she was very afraid, she said, “you can take the treasure that we found from the treasure map”. The pirates said okay. Pirates opened it and said, “thank you”. We would never found the treasure by our self. We are very pleased, tell me, where you want to go, I will let you go where you want to go. The hamster squeaked and both Shreya and Shaurya said we want to go back to the desert. Then they said ok, we will let to go there. Pirates dropped then to the desert. They got off the ship and said, “thank you for your help”. Pirates said where are you going, they said to a tree. Then the pirate said after one kilometer you’ll find a tree. Then they both started walking and then finally they reached the tree, Shaurya said climb quick, Shreya said ok. Then the hamster jumped on the Matheran information book and squeaked again. Shaurya said let’s go and then he gave the hamster to Shreya and he pointed at the cover of the book and said I wish I can go back home. Then the wind started to blow, the trees started to shake then everything was quiet and absolutely silent.

CHAPTER 6:

The Hamster Wrote Something

When they both opened their eyes, a piece of paper fell down. The hamster cached it and then a pencil from fell on the hamster from Shaurya’s bag. The hamster wrote something on the paper. The hamster wrote I am an old woman and it also wrote to give the compass to him. Shaurya gave it to the hamster and then the needle of the compass started to spin very fast. The hamster turned into a woman and said my name, Belinda. She said thank you in a very sweet voice. Shaurya and Shreya said “You're welcome”, and then they both looked out and back in. They both were shocked and said where did she go. She left a paper she wrote something on it and Shreya read it out loud. “come back on Sunday” was written on Sunday. Shaurya said sounds weird.

CHAPTER 7:

Home Sweet Home

Shreya was shocked that they need to go back to the treehouse again on Sunday. Shaurya said calm down the time stops whenever we go somewhere so, no need to worry. He said see it’s still raining. Shaurya murmured “Home sweet home” by looking at their house. Shreya said let’s read some books when it will stop raining we will go home. Shaurya agreed and then after some time the rain stopped and then both of them walked to their home happily.
