Summary On The Book Wonder
Now, what is the summary of the book Wonder? Well, I will be telling you what it is. Now there were lots of scenes in the book Wonder. The book's main characters were Auggie, Julian, Via, Jack, and many more but the main person was a boy called August Pullman. He was a deformed kid. He had got 27 surgeries. The disease he has is Teachers Collins Syndrome. He had never been to school before 5th grade. August or "Auggie" Pullman, a 10-year-old boy living in New York. He lives with his parents, his great sister Via and his dog Daisy. His parents decided that the time had come for him to go to an actual school. They put him in Beecher Prep. Auggie's sister Via her part was that she goes to high school now. She talked about how Miranda was her BFF but then after when Miranda came back from her camp she changed and she did not talk to Via.
Also, there was a play. Now Summer she was the one who sat with Auggie at school because no one was sitting with him. And in Summer's part, there was a party that was Savanna's Halloween party and Summer left early because they were making fun of Auggie and making her choose between being their friends and Auggie's friend. Also on Halloween Summer gave Jack a hint that was bleeding scream. Why? Because Auggie heard Jack and Julian talking about him and so Jack did not know why Auggie was mad at him but Summer gave Jack a hint. Now Jack he was Auggie’s friend.
Now in Jack's part, he was thinking why Auggie was mad at him and during science class, Jack realizes what Summer meant by "bleeding scream." He realizes that Auggie overheard his remarks while he was talking to Julian on Halloween. Things only get worse when the science teacher, Ms. Rubin, pairs Jack and Auggie together for a science project. Now Via's boyfriend Justin said that he heard that the school was planning to produce a play called The Elephant Man, but switched to Our Town at the last minute. One day, Justin leaves the Pullman house at the same time as Auggie's friend Jack and stays with Jack until the bus comes. Jack borrows a dollar from Justin to buy some gum. Auggie's perspective comes back for the first time since the beginning of the novel. There was a situation about a war between Julian and Jack and it got a bit better. The Pullman family gets in a fight one day when Auggie realizes that Via has been hiding her involvement in the school play from him. She does not want him to come, because then she would be known once again as the girl with the deformed brother.
And then their dog Daisy died and the whole family goes to the school play to see Justin. They expect to see Miranda because she got sick right before the show, so instead Via performs the lead role. Miranda gets a chance to tell her story now she has avoided Via since school started because, during the summer, she told a lot of lies at camp and pretended she had a deformed little brother in order to become popular. She secretly misses Via, though. On the opening night of the play, Miranda has no one that is remotely close to her to see her but when she saw the Pullman family in the audience she fakes that she was sick so that Via can go onstage instead. This gives Via and Miranda an opportunity to bring up their relationship.
The final section of the novel switches back to Auggie. The fifth grade goes on a retreat at a nature reserve for three days. This retreat comes every year. This is Auggie's first time sleeping away from home. Things go great until the second night, when the students are watching an outdoor movie. Jack and Auggie go into the woods so that Jack can go to the washroom but then some students from another school came and make fun of Auggie and try to hurt him. But then three of the boys from Beecher Prep who are usually mean to Auggie they came and they were Henry ,Miles, and Amos although one of the older kids steals Auggie's hearing aids. This made Auggie popular. By the end of the novel, almost everyone has at last wanted to be his friend. Things start looking up the Pullmans get a new puppy, and Auggie got to know from Mr. Tushman that Julian will not come back to Beecher Prep the following year. Graduation came. Auggie wins an award for courage and kindness. He realizes how far he has come since the beginning of school, and he now has a group of friends and feels comfortable with who he is. The novel ends with his mother whispering in his ear, calling him a "wonder."
