Social Responsibility

Gautam and Arvind were discussing something very deeply after getting back from School. This has been a routine with them for the past few days. Their mother noticed this and was wondering what it might have been but did not bother much as she knew if something was important the kids would definitely come to her or their dad. So that was it. For few days the same routine continued. The kids had a picnic plan that was to be arranged by the School. Obviously she expected some kind of excitement in the kids. But nothing of that sort was evident. So Annu their mother thought the picnic might get stalled due to the pandemic and so the evident non excitement quite understandable.

But after a day or two the children come to their mother requesting for the picnic amount which she gives to them without a blink hoping to see some excitement in them. kids collect the money and get into some discussion again which Annu thought was about the picnic. The day before the picnic Annu goes to the School to meet the teachers to find out the safety measures,time and rest of the details that she ought to know. But she was in a shock to know that the School picnic stands cancelled due to the pandemic and no such amount bwas to be deposited to the School. It was a shock to Annu as she got worried as to what the children were upto and she even recalls how the kids were discussing quite regularly about something. Vague apprehension in her mind and She needed to tell her husband Suri about the same.

She tells Suri about the incident and felt better. Once her husband comes home finishes his dinner they go to the kids room for discussion but find them fast asleep. Since the kids had to attend School next day they feel it is better to keep quiet and talk to them in the morning. But Suri and Annu felt something strange about their School bags that were bulged and seemed heavy. So they quietly decide to check their bags. It was a surprise for them. what do you think they found in the bags.

A bag of eatables,some rice packet, socks oil etc. when they saw this they were wondering what these were meant for and why the kids had stored in their bags. Any guesses,??Yes you guessed it right. The children were moved watching the plight of many labourers who had to go back to their places after the pandemic struck making many vulnerable to all kinds of problems. They had learnt helping someone in times of necessity is a noble cause, this was reiterated by Annu and Suri time and again. Learning the real reason both the parents were hapoy and proud of their children.
