Sensitivity

Priya was a very cheerful, lively, and friendly teenager. She was so sensitive and sensible for her age. Her parents were so happy and felt pleased with whatever she said and did. Priya was good in academics and all activities that added a feather in her achievements cap One more very enduring quality of hers as she had a very sensitive heart that wanted to do something for the less privileged. She always dreamt of winning a lottery and wanted to spend the money to fund the education of any physically and economically challenged child. As time went past and she grew up into a well-educated and smart young lady she realized her dream would come true if she really wanted it to happen.

So what she did was simple but effective. She enrolled herself with a local NGO which was working very hard and sincerely to guide hearing impaired girl students who were orphans too. The NGO was doing wonderful work but they would do even better if they would have some extra funds.Priya even understood that hearing aids would facilitate learning in a better way. She slowly spread this information in her Office,personal contacts and on Social media channels.The response she got was overwhelming.A company from the financial capital of India came forward to donate hearing machines of course( only 20 pieces cause that is what they could manage). Once these machines were provided to the girl students it was magic unfolded The young girls could hear sounds and with continued effort and further training they started to utter few words and the first time they wished good morning to Priya was the best gift she got. This was the beginning of a beautiful journey towards social responsibility that Priya continues every time she gets a chance to do so.This was the result of her self-realization that with a little bit of effort and collective action everything is possible to the extent we can reach.
