Russian Revolution

In the harsh winter of 1917, Russia was a land of suffering. The Tsar, Nicholas II, ruled with an iron fist, ignoring the cries of starving peasants and overworked factory workers. The people’s patience had snapped after years of war, poverty, and injustice. Soldiers who once fought for the Tsar began to question their loyalty, seeing their families suffer back home.

The city of Petrograd erupted with protests. Women demanding bread, workers striking, and soldiers joining the crowd—it all boiled into a revolution. The Tsar tried to hold power, but his guards abandoned him. Lenin and the Bolsheviks promised a new world: fair land for peasants, workers in charge, and peace from the endless war.

One cold night, the Bolsheviks stormed the Winter Palace. It wasn’t just a battle of guns—it was the clash of old and new Russia. The Tsar’s reign ended there, and the Soviet Union was born amid chaos and hope. But the revolution was only the start of a long struggle for power and a new future.
