Relationship between music and most beautiful memories

It was Sunday morning and there was a slight sun whose rays were coming inside my window on the glass table which was enhancing the beauty of my room. I came near window and was started looking in the green lawns outside my house. I saw bunch of people enjoying sun rays and I was decided to go down to enjoy real artistry of lord. I came down and joined a couple of other people in the benches and chairs downstairs. Some of them put nice music on their phones and everyone was listening and humming along, mostly peppy numbers.

Suddenly, an elderly vibrant lady, changed the music to an old song, though, I am a fan of old songs too, but this one was definitely not one of my favourites. I wanted to request her to change the track but couldn’t dare. Her granddaughter who was also sitting along with her said.....granna change the song! Another number. She said no, this will play, so we all listened. One of her friends asked quietly.....this song brings back beautiful memories? Her eyes were a little bit moistened, there was a twinkle too, and she said .. definitely. It was Mumbai, an old cafe, this song was playing in the background and there was one handsome man looking into my eyes and saying ..will you stay in my life forever? He is no more now, but this tune takes me back in time ..to that beautiful afternoon which has changed my life forever.

Furthermore, it is with all of us.....and music. It's not always about the song, it's about the memories associated with that music, those thoughts, those precious moments ..there is a magical way those tunes open the floodgates of those moments in time.

So here's to lots of music in all our lives....and happy times .. let's make moments now to smile back at the memories tomorrow. All it will take is a hum and a tune ..
