Outside The Windowsill...

Early in the morning l opened my windowsill, and my eyes hold a glow in the mild sunshine. Randomly looking outside l observed a small puppy struggling to find some food. He walked across the bus stand hoping to get some food. He was so cute but hungry as well. His condition was clearly observed. But still none of the people standing on the bus stand show any compassion towards him. I felt really bad and couldn't stop myself. I stepped outside my doorstep but my parents stopped me from going out only because he was a stray dog. They put me with no option and so l stayed at home but came back to the window as my attention was only towards that dog. 

A person with a faded blue shirt from the crowd started teasing him. He showed a piece of the sandwich to that little puppy but didn't gave him to eat. In fact, he ate the whole sandwich in front of him. 'Oh!..poor puppy...', l felt really bad for him but was unable to help him. Everyone was just busy on their phones on the bus stand waiting for their buses to arrive. And this poor puppy started shedding tears from his eyes but no one paid attention to him. I understood what he must be feeling but l couldn't do anything. After a while, the person who teased that puppy was crossing the road to take a rickshaw from the other corner. While crossing, he was careless and hearing music, exactly at that moment a bike was coming towards him really fast. Everyone was busy with their phones so nobody tried to stop him.

But that little puppy was watching the incident going on. He immediately ran towards him and started distracting him. Soon he was aware to his senses. He saw the bike coming and crossed the road quickly. That was really close and only because of that little puppy he was saved whom he teased today. During that incident, the puppy got hurt a bit. So the person took that puppy to the doctor and then fed food to him with love. This incident changed him totally. He cared for the dog until he was healthy like before. He also tied up with the NGOs who help stray animals and nurture them like parents and also handovered the puppy to them.

That person was a civil engineer living in my locality and so everyone afterwards appreciated him as well. I was very happy that day and also my parents point of view changed towards stray animals. My parents also donated some amount to the NGOs who supported and cared for stray animals. 

That day l realized many things, first, that humanity is not just limited to humans, it is also among all creatures of the world, only the way of expressing might be different. Second, Phones play an important role in our lives, but humans are the precious gift of nature. We, humans should not forget our humanity because humanity is greatest impression of humans in the world. Third, lessons are not only taught in schools or colleges rather a simple observation around the world can also teach lessons of life and they are worth it. The smallest thing to the largest in this world teaches us some or the other lessons, we just need a proper understanding and patience to learn it.
