Never Forget Gratitude
Never Forget Gratitude
"Once upon a time, Rishi was living in a hut. One day, a small rat came and said, 'I am scared. Please help me. A cat frequently comes here and might kill me. Can you save my life?' So, Rishi spoke some words of magic and sprayed water on the rat, turning it into a cat.
After a few days, the cat returned and said, 'Living here with you is good, but sometimes when I go to the garden outside of the home, I feel very scared. Dogs might attack me. Can you save me from the dogs?' So, Rishi sprayed water on the cat while reciting some verses, and it transformed into a dog.
After a while, the dog approached Rishi again. 'When I go into the forest, I fear the tiger. Can you help me? It might kill me,' the dog said. Rishi used his magic words and sprayed water on the dog, turning it into a tiger.
Once it became a tiger, it said, 'I am a man-killer animal. I will kill you.' But it forgot that Rishi had transformed it from a rat to a tiger. Rishi turned it back into a rat.
The story's moral is that one who receives kindness should never forget it. This story teaches us to remain humble and grateful, even after gaining power."
