My family trip to Ooty...

After a long arduous, yet thrilling journey all the way from Chennai to Ooty, we finally landed on the most popular and a luxury resort over there and had a kick back for the rest of the day.

The resort was full of mysterious places and it made my brothers' eyes lit up. There was a big swimming pool, a campfire, a classy restaurant, huge lodging rooms with many amenities and also the most mandatory one, a playground for the children but not for a teen like me. However, I couldn't resist romping on the slide and swinging like a child. But the best stuff to try for a girl like me was the tennis and boxing games inside the indoor game court.

There was also a small library and being a bookworm, I was going through the review of each and every book. Meanwhile, my parents, uncle, aunt and grandparents joined us after placing the luggage in respective cottages. We took a few snaps and I was trying hard to recreate the poses of different models and yes, finally we had our spicy noodles and some desserts for supper.

And, the rest of the things were happening as usual. There were separate rooms and me, my brother and mom and dad stayed inside the same room. Habitually, it was me and my brother quarrelling for the comfy bed. Anyways at last, our parents slept on it and we were laying down on the so-called sofa-bed and were exhilarated for tomorrow.

The following day, waking early in the morning everyone got ready except one cute lazy head, my cousin. Finally, we had breakfast and went to explore our first destination - The Spooky Pine Forest. Well, there was nothing that horrible. But, it was steepy and sticky to walk and my grannie found it difficult. As they say, hard work pays for success, we ultimately reached the lake which was located just below the magnificent pine trees. The land and rocks were risky to run so we kept quiet. Moreover, the lake view was absolutely stunning and it was insta-worthy.

Then, we went on another journey to Pykara Waterfalls which made melodic rhythms and we all cherished it and had some snacks on the way too. We had lunch nearby and the rest of the day was entirely about the venture to a forest ride. We all saw peacocks, monkeys, deers and also a bear. I felt gloomy because I was not able to see a tiger. My uncle mocked me that If I stand there in the road during night, I'd surely fulfil my wish of not only seeing the tiger but also getting wolfed up! Then everyone burst out laughing while I suddenly noticed a thingy standing up and it turned to be a sign board to not feed the animals and no wonder, many people were doing that restricted action.

Near the forest was an elephant feeding camp. The elephants were eating rice balls and sugarcane so effortlessly with their gigantic mouth and huge silvery tusk and

abruptly it made a trumpet sound and that was the moment all the tourists were waiting for to capture.

During the evening, we visited the Botanical Garden just near our hotel and we had an exuberant picnic in a big grassland in the centre of the park. Rolling and twisting our bodies in the grass we also enjoyed sight-seeing, various types of flora, and had a lot of desserts and crisps. Last but not the least my parents and uncle and aunt joined our trio and we played lock and key in the vast field. My influential place was a tree's stump and a lighthouse. Everyone was full and also exhausted by the lengthy day.

The next set of ventures on the following day...

We travelled to the highest point in Tamil Nadu a.k.a Doddabetta and got a family photo shoot too. The soft-blowing breeze passed through my heart. My grandpa told me that it is at the junction of Western and Eastern Ghats and offers beautiful vistas of the Nilgiri Hills range. My dad took a panorama view covering 180°. There were numerous stalls adjacent, thus my mom and aunt bought some cosmetics and also culinary products. My grandma gave us home-made chocolates available there and it was sweet just like the place it was!

The afternoon was very annoying because we had to stroll high altitudes in the scorching heat for the echo point in the needle forest. Nevertheless, it gave me a sense of relaxation and achievement with mixed feelings as if I had reached the summit of Mt. Everest once I set foot on the peak. After lunch, it took long hours to reach the boating house and guess what! It felt like an amusement park and surfing was also exciting. Subsequently, we entered the Viking Ride and I pondered whether these rides were always this terrible! And the whole mass was shrieking joyfully.

It was truly amazing and spectacular.

The twilight passed by, and we arrived at the cottage. During the night, we saw a movie, exchanged funny moments about the trip and the next day was to return back home. Whole-heartedly, I'd say that it was an extremely fabulous trip with my family and we had the golden time in our lives. Everything was going smoothly until I realized and became depressed. I distinctly remember my thoughts on the way home that I can only look back to those times but not regain and enliven the moment once again. Neither do I have the same time nor the same age… Life keeps changing but that's what makes it intriguing. So live your present life peacefully and unfeigned!
