That cold night, you cried in my arms under the light of gazillion stars, and though I had a lot to say,

I did not. I hugged you back and murmured a string of, “It's okay,” because, at that moment, that is what you needed.

Peace. Silence. Warmth.

If, my words could fix you, I’d have written you endless poetries, straight from my heart. I'd have given my soul to my words, put in everything I have, for you. The way I've always done, the way I ever will.

But sometimes all you need is for me to listen and I understand that. I will listen to all your sagas patiently, give you cozy hugs and a shoulder to cry on. And when the time comes, I will talk too, for what is my existence without my words? What am I without my verse? I will talk, with everything I have, for you. I know it won't heal you of those scars that travel too deep inside.

But darling, give me a chance, let me try to fix you. For I will write love on your arms. For I have promised you a friendship for life and girl you won't fight this alone.
