Meteoroids and More

 In India, there was chilly winter. In India, there was a village of Christians called Kardalipura in Goa. In this village was a house belonging to Mr. Alberto. In Mr. Alberto's house lived five people: Jack Alberto, Mr. Alberto, Mrs. Alberto, Grandpa Fickelburg and Grandma Georgina.

On 21 Jan 1926, Saturday there was news that meteoroids will fall on Chicalim and can be seen by people in Goa on 22 Jan, Sunday,3:00 a. m. The Saturday night was a chilly one. At night, his family had a discussion on the falling meteoroid. Jack was studying in Class 6 and during the discussion, he remembered how once a meteoroid fell on moon and there came to water. When they went to bed, Jack was still thinking.

Suddenly to the surprise of Grandpa Fickelburg, he asked a very strange and easy question "Why don't we live on the moon when they have found water?"Grandpa Fickelburg turned to Jack, gave a smile, and said"Oh! There's no oxygen there. There is no soil and the sand there cannot be turned into soil. As a fact, there are no trees on the moon. So no food and no oxygen! Hence, it is very difficult to make the moon a living planet!"

Jack, looked quite sad about that. He was thinking ways about how to make soil on the moon. Gradually,Jack, after thinking, slept in 10 minutes.  

Next day, Jack woke at 3:00 a. m. He with his parents went to the terrace to see the meteoroid! Soon, they reached the terrace but there was such a layer of fog, that they couldn't see the falling meteoroid. Disappointed, Jack felt too sad.

Soon, he slept till sunrise. He woke and started getting ready for school. He polished the shoes, ironed the shirt, and found his socks. His school started at 9:00 a. m. Soon after 2½ hours, the van came and Jack entered it.

Soon he was at school but was still thinking. Mrs. Leo, the SST teacher continued with her chapter on meteoroids. She told"Meteoroids are rock-like substances present in-universe. They are located from Earth to Jupiter. "Jack was still thinking.  

The teacher gradually noticed this and suddenly asked to the surprise of Jack and other students where are meteoroids located? Only Jack will tell. "Jack quickly said"Earth to Jupiter. "

Now, the teacher soon ended the lesson and went to question answers. She took a paper and wrote on it:-

1. Who are meteoroids?-Jack                  2. Where are they located?-Jeff

The boys soon answered. Mrs. Leo was happy. The class ended as she greeted "Have a nice day. " The children said "Same to you Mam. "
