Lily’s Wish

It was a beautiful morning when lily woke up at the sound of her alarm. It was her first day of royale high. She was a very beautiful yet elegant girl who was looking forward to meeting fairies from all across the world. Even though she was a very elegant girl and a royal, she was very kind, unlike her sisters and parents. Their family was known as the dark rose family named from their ancestor who once used to forcibly rule the islands of royalty. The people usually feared and gave respect to them wherever they went.

Lily was ready to go to royale high when her mother called her into the courtroom. She hurried fast and gently as it was important to be a perfect royal in the rose family. Her mother said, “just like your sisters now you have also finally grown up and ready to go to school and rule over your grade. Now I know you think it's weird to do such things but it's your destiny to be evil so you must follow it. I had given your sisters this and now it's your turn”. She said pointing to a glass case having a spellbook, crown, wand, and a journal to write all the spells she learned. Lily asked, “Is this mine now for my entire time in royale high? Is anyone else in my grade in the family going to royale high?” Her mother said, “Milly and Rosie are going so you will have some company. Now hurry up and teleport to the gates of royale high and remember to Be EVIL”

Lily immediately teleported to the gates and there she saw a very old friend, ember. She waved and bowed to lily. Everybody turned to see what’s going on and saw lily and started clapping and bowing due to the rose rule (it's basically a rule where everybody must respect the regals of the rose family). Lily was used to such welcomes and went to meet ember and said, “c’mon ember I told you, you don’t need to respect me now I am out of the palace and we are all royals so c’mon and let’s enjoy the school year.” But what lily was actually thinking was, “I just want to be treated as an equal not some stupid descendant of the dark rose who is evil and doesn’t care about others. I am different I just wished I could be seen as a kind and gentle girl who doesn’t care about such things but I guess that will never be possible”.

She started walking to the headmistress’s office to take her timetable and room key. As soon as she was about to knock at the headmistress office her sister Lisa came and told her to just open the door, she was not left a choice near her sister. She opened it and the headmistress told, “if it isn’t the lily rose, the youngest and most powerful great-granddaughter of the dark rose. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance. How may I help you, your highness” lily politely answered, “the pleasure is mine to be accepted in royale high. I can’t wait to settle in and get to know all the spells so that I can easily run the kingdom”. 

The headmistress questioned her, “if you don’t mind me asking but what’s exactly your destiny it seems to me you aren’t following it well. Like you don’t want to be evil and be treated as equal. I hope you know that it is important to follow your destiny and the way you have to live in this world. I gave every descendant of your family a quest and your quest is to complete your wish but at the same time follow your destiny. Good luck!” lily thanked the headmistress for her words and scurried off to her room to unlock the enchanting diary which will give her the clues to follow the headmistress’s quest. She was lucky that Rosie was her roommate as she understood lily’s wish very well. She hugged her and told her all about the year’s quest. Rosie said, “golly! This is going to be hard don’t you think? But I think you can do it so let’s check your diary for tips”. They opened it and saw all the beautiful ways to complete the quest.

Soon a month passed away and it was the parent's school visit week (it's basically a week when the parents come to meet their children and stay with them for a week). Lily was nervous for the week and asked Rosie, “will everything be okay? Will they accept me? Will they make me a stupid spoiled royal for a week? Will I have any hope in showing them that I am different and complete headmistress’s quest”. Rosie cheered her up by saying, “don’t worry so much I am sure you will be able to do it. I have a feeling that this week will complete the wish you have been having for a month. So, get ready for an awesome week with your parents and remember no stress just relax”. Lily told her, “thx for saying that Rosie. I hope you are correct and that I can do it”

Happy with Rosie's words, lily went down the corridor wearing her crown. She spotted her parents easily due to all the crowd bowing down towards them. She gently ran towards them and hugged them tightly. Then the day followed with them telling their parents about all the wonderful things and amazing caves they found out about as exploration projects.

On one of the days of the visit, her mother asked her to show them what her wish was. Lily was so happy that her mother asked about that. She told her mother, “mother give me 2 hours. I and Rosie will show you my wish by evening and I hope you can accept that.” With that, she hurried off to see Rosie and told her the story. Together they both made an awesome plan. Then it was time to implement it so Rosie went to see her aunt and uncle and told them to follow her. Lily had told ember to shout at her saying that she wants a normal friend and that she will take care of the rest.

Rosie led them to the garden where a crowd had already emerged. Ember started shouting saying, “why can't I have a normal friend who doesn’t have to follow so many rules. I wish I never met you. I hope you are happy to see me cry. When you are also not so perfect lily.” Her parents got furious but Rosie told them to listen to lily once.

Then lily said, “ look ember if I am being honest I don’t wanna be evil I just want to be like you but we both know that’s impossible and I need to follow my destiny. But I just wished there was a way I could follow my destiny but be kind at the same time. But that will never be possible with me being related to the darkest person in the world. I have as much magic as him and I also don’t accept it. Please god for once let me be myself. But look around me I can't even walk a step with people not bowing and giving me respect. I don’t want this I want to be like you and be normal.”

Her parent's heart sank and all the students gasped that’s when the headmistress entered. She told them, “your highnesses, I know you are very much into royalty but at least for once think for your daughter and do something for it. Look at this, why don’t you bother to ask your older daughters what they want. You are simply making them live their lives the way you want.” Lily’s mother told, “I never knew this was what was going on. I always thought you were upset because you couldn’t explore the world. I am sorry.” Lily’s father corrected his wife, “WE are sorry.” They all hug each other and promise not to think that their family must do what they do.

Moral: never lose hope.
