Life Of An Eagle

Life Of An Eagle

Hello! My name is Bacchus. My mother named me Bacchus because the word Bacchus is the Greek word for noisy and when I was born I was really noisy. It all started when I was a young fledgling. I was born in a hard, rough and tough nest of twigs. My mother fed me well, yummy snakes for breakfast, yummy rats for lunch and one big hedgehog for dinner. My mother taught me how to be tough and she taught me how to not be scared of anything. She also taught me how to fly. I loved her, she was my heroine. Unluckily for me, she was old, 29 years old! Before she died she told me to be a successful eagle. I was determined to be a successful eagle.

I flew to a building and watched the sun set from the building. I was sad that my mother died, but I knew I couldn't be sad forever. I slept on the building that day though it wasn't very comfortable, it was a sad day and I needed some rest.

The next day I went to gather twigs as I was going to build a nest on top of the building I had slept on. It was really hard work! I don't know how my mother did it. It took me almost a day! For the rest of the day I made the nest. Then I collapsed on top of my nest.

The next day I went to get food. I was really hungry! I was lucky my mother had taught me how to hunt. I flew around until I found a snake. I found one slithering around a dead rat, I swooped down and caught the snake in my talons, then I flew back to my nest with him in my clutch. Then I gobbled him up. I hope my mother is watching me from Heaven and is proud of me. I’m almost a perfect, successful eagle.
