Hundred years ago, there was a jungle at the top of the mountains and lion was the king of that jungle. He was always giving order to other animals to fulfill his requirements. He was known as a very strict and angry king. Peacock used to dance to impress the king, cuckoo sings with her melodious voice, tiger has to work like watchman, rabbit has to look after the surroundings and others were involved in collecting food specially for the king. Like this, everyone has a duty.

One day heavy rainfall occurred and continued for 3-4 days. Everyone was worried for their safety where as the king was inside his den during these days. He was getting his food on time so need not felt to come outside to look after his fellow mates. All other animals were very dissatisfied with such behavior of the leader. They were hardly able to get sufficient food at that time and all of them were clumped together at one place due to lack of proper place for accommodation.

On the fifth day, lion came out and called everyone to run into his den as soon as possible. When they entered inside, everyone found to be speechless. There was a huge place with proper arrangement to provide required accommodation, there was enough food stock to survive for at least a month and also enough space to cook food for all. When the elephant asked lion, "Dear Majesty, how come this possible during such natural calamities"? Then the king replied,"Dear friends, from the last 3-4 days I was busy in arranging all these stuffs so that you people should not suffer". You all have taken care of me very nicely so, now it's my turn to repay you all.Whatever food you provide to me, half of it I always store for future so that if situations go wrong, my family should not suffer. Being the head of the family, if I will not stand for you then who will be your strength during your difficulties? I remain always strict because if I will not be strong in front of you then you all will be weak. My strictness has always been for the betterment of this jungle and its members. At the same, I do care for you and your future.

Everyone felt very ashamed as they all misunderstood their king and felt sorry before him. Then the king told, "Even I am sorry that I took more time to arrange this but trust me, in making it proper and comfortable for all of you, it took little more time". I hope this arrangement will not disappoint you. Everybody appreciated, thanked their king with respect and started staying together for another few days till the outside condition get better.

MORAL OF THE STORY: A good leader is he, who gives first priority to his fellow mates rather than of himself.
