One summer, when I was of seven years and went to bring medicines of my home, I came through a shortcut. People around commented “Be careful strange things happen there” but I walked along the road ignoring their comments. I suddenly felt very thirsty. With Rs. 20 in my pocket I thought of buying a bottle of water to quench my thirst. But there were no shops nearby. All of a sudden I saw a mango tree, full of delicious juicy mangoes. With a bamboo stick that lay nearby, I started trying to pluck some mangoes. The repetitive effort of mine resulted in plucking of two ripe mangoes but how to scrap the skin of the mango?

An idea came to my mind. It was to scrap the outer skin with the rough side, of the strips of the medicines. I started scraping it and ultimately the idea worked! I ate one of those mangoes and threw away the seed. Suddenly the small seed grew into a big mango tree! I was bewildered to see the sudden growth of the tiny seed. I decided to take the second mango to my house as there were none. I started walking again. A few minutes later I felt I was not able to see and remember anything. Gradually I felt like sinking in the water. Thud! I fell down on the ground. Now I remember everything. But I didn’t understand where I was and why around me was tents.

Gathering courage I went near one of the tents and peeped inside. I saw armors, weapons and plants. There were big, grey, steel armors, iron swords and clubs, bows and arrows. I saw people in olden cloths and some seemed to be soldiers. I asked myself “how did I come to olden times?!”

I thought this must be a battlefield. I wanted to know in which age I have arrived. I went to a soldier and asked him, “for which kingdom are you fighting?” he replied, “I am fighting for king Duryodhana, king of Hastinapur.” I was perplexed to know this. I asked the soldier, “where have the Pandavas set their camps?” The soldier replied," why? Who are you? Why are you wearing such weary clothes? From which kingdom have you come from?”

I replied, “No, nothing actually I have not seen the Pandavas once. My name is Aranya Basu, and I have come from the future. In future people wear this types of clothes.” I asked the soldier again, “where have the Pandavas set their camp?” The soldiers replied, “Just opposite to our camp.” “Thank you for help.” And I ran towards the tents. I went near the most beautiful tent and saw many persons dressed in royal costumes were in discussion. Guards were standing with swords in front of the entrance.

I went to another tent and saw some soldiers getting ready for the war. They were fighting among themselves. I started watching them fighting and after some time some people came out of the tent where they were discussing.

I saw a young man with bluish skin coming out of the tent. I went to him and asked, “Are you, Krishna?” He replied, “Yes, I am.” I asked, “Why are you allowing the brothers to fight among themselves? You are God Vishnu, then why are you not stopping this war which will lead to the destruction?” He replied, “Child when people do sin they get punishment. Duryodhana has done the sin and so he is facing the consequences.”

Telling this Lord Krishna went away. After that, a guard saw me and asked, “Where have you got the juicy mango? Have you stolen it? Hold on I will take you to king Yuddhisthira and he will punish you.” Listing to this I started running. I was feeling tired and thought the best way to keep no proof. The way was to eat the mango. With difficulty, I peeled the mango and ate it. Drowsiness shrouded me and as the soldiers touched me I disappeared from there. After a while I realized I am back on the road on my way back from the medicine shop.
