It's time for Christmas
It's time for Christmas
Once upon a time in the city of New York, lived a family with two children Veronica and Jack. Veronica was ten while Jack was 7 years old. After long summer days, winter season had started and Veronica and Jack were on cloud nine. Hurrah! It's winter season, let's go to a shop and buy a calendar to note how many days are left for Christmas, said Veronica. Okay, but do you think mom is going to give us a penny? said Jack. Never... said both of them. I have an idea, said Jack. I have a piggy bank that I used when I was four. Let's go upstairs and search for it. After searching for a while, they got hold of the piggy bank. Does it have any money in it,? enquired Veronica. Yes, 40 dollars...said Jack with a smile.
They went to Miss Gwinny's shop in the neighbor and bought a calendar, snacks and other party items. After reaching home, Veronica said let's invite our friends. She invited Chloe, Rebecca, Mary, Kelly, Darbie and Hannah. I am inviting Leo, Mark, Robin,Steven and Michael said Jack. Veronica and John then decorated their room with balloons and decorated the old Christmas tree with baubles. All the children enjoyed the party and left late that night. It way 23rd December already and Christmas was near.
In the morning, they both grabbed a piece of paper and wrote a letter to Santa. Veronica asked for a doll house while Jack asked for a toy train.
The next moment, they were in their garden and suddenly there was snowfall. Very soon, the ground was white with snow. Veronica and Jack ran for their jackets, boots, gloves and scarves. I don't want to wear all these, said Jack to Veronica. Veronica said... Don't you think we are lucky to have all these things, a big house, money and clothes to wear? So many people die due to cold in winter season. Thank you for enlightening me, nodded Jack. They dressed up and went to play in the snow.
Finally Christmas was here. Mother called Veronica and Jack to decorate the Christmas tree. The decoration was neary compete when Jack reminded...Only the top star is left now. Veronica placed the star and lo..
the beautiful Christmas tree was here.
Now the kids were eagerly waiting for the gifts by Santa when their mother asked... Do you know the, story of Santa.? No... replied the kids in surprise. Here it goes, said their mother. Santa was known as Saint Nicholas and he died in AD 343. In 1087 apparently, merchants dug up his bones and smuggled them to an Italian city of Bari, the telegraph reported. It is still a holy site visited by Christians paying homage to Saint Nicholas.
Children were now all the more eager for Santa and gifts. They placed the letter to Santa near the Christmas tree along with carrots for the reindeer and muffins for Santa. It's time to sleep now, said mom.
Good morning... Mother woke them up early. The kids went running to the Christmas tree and grabbed their gifts. Wow... I got my doll house, giggled Veronica. I got my toy train, rejoiced Jack. The whole year Veronica and Jack remained the most obedient and sweet kids because they believed in Santa. And again... It was time for Christmas!!
