It has been five years since the covert mission performed by Jackson Group on the dark side of the moon. All the involved personnel was forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement and were sworn to keep the matter top-secret, which they did. Tomorrow is going to be the day when the UN launches its own manned mission at the site. The Council claims the mission will consist of a series of tests and experiments, but never did I believe what they claimed. You see the UN Council on the front seems like an alliance of countries and it is true, but I found out just recently that the so-called UN is nothing but puppets of a top-secret organization who has been running since before even UN was established. The organization is headed by the ten old fogies or so I call them. They are the ones who have always run civilization from the shadows. The motto of this organization has always been to make themselves stronger and powerful no matter what they need to do. Well, what shall I tell about them, as I mentioned in my previous memo, Survival of the fittest? Anyways these old fossils have now targeted the ancient structure on the dark side. They have turned their greed towards a far greater and dangerous power, which in their hands will destroy the world. This was the main reason behind the group’s secret mission, to uncover the technology or a.k.a weapon left behind by our predecessors. But should we be fortunate or unfortunate as there were no signs of weapons or any such discovery?

 

I don’t know what they might find as we could not fully investigate the site due to limited time. But I for one know that now isn’t the time to think about it. Now is the time when we must think of how to solve a greater problem. The return of those unfathomable beings who destroyed our highly advanced ancient civilization. Well, after years of research my team has been able to complete the integration of the memory chip with a custom-built supercomputer which will analyze the data and translate it for us to use. As far as we have decoded the data it has come to our notice that the chip not only contains the history of our predecessors but also contains technological data and the use of cosmic energy. As harsh as it may sound, as difficult as it will be, a decision must be made. A decision on which the whole human world is dependent on.

 

During the time of our expedition, we were never able to retrieve the virus mentioned in the chip’s data. The virus was supposed to be a contingency plan of those beings, in case of any uneventful disaster. The virus was also one of Zero’s creation, its effect was to mutate the species brain and cells, using a very forceful approach. The virus would mutate our genes to let our cells absorb the cosmic energy present in the atmosphere. This would either lead to the person turning feral and losing all its instincts with his rationality or would give the person access to store and utilize the cosmic energy depending on the mutation. But the fatality ratio of both situations depends on the will of the person. I will be keeping a close watch on the UN, in case they find the virus and try to utilize it or experiment with it for their own good. Even though I can’t do anything about it, but information has always been the key. In order to fight what is about to come, we must band together, we must at the least not fight among ourselves. We must rise, so others might say. But the world of today’s, this world where the progress of the race has been stopped or limited to only the strong, we will never be able to band together.

 

Human beings have a narrow vision. They cannot look at whatever that exists beyond that vision and I am no exception to that. Even I am part of that darkness. I believe no matter how bright the light may be, Darkness has the potential to swallow it. People say Light cannot exist without Darkness and Darkness without light. But let me give you an example, a black hole. It’s what represents Darkness in our Universe to its fullest. It has the potential to swallow all the light, but on the other hand, if the conditions are right, Light can co-exist with it too. I and my group represent the Black Hole of the world. We exist to make the coexistence possible. Up till now we have done so and will continue to keep doing it. We are no saints, nor we want to be one. We are just a group of people who want to survive in this world, who want to protect what is important to them. It is our will to survive, our will to protect that has kept the group running and suppressing the darkness, maintaining that critical factor of balance between those two sides.

 

Right now, my team is gathering data on the enemy’s world. Its power structure and its forces. We will plan our actions accordingly. In this time of pre-war like condition, I guess it is time to let the balance tilt in the favor of the Darkness. It is now time for the world to engulf into chaos. People have become accustomed to the Light, to the silence. You can see people rebelling for equality and rights. Every time I look at those people, I am disgusted by them. I mean Equality, who are you kidding with. There can never be Equality. Equality has always been a misconception. You want rights, you want freedom, earn them by your own hands. No one is equal and they never will be, such is the truth of the world. The law of the Jungle still prevails but in a much subtle way. Such people are pests and the upcoming war will never be won by them. What we need is not strength or power, what we need are people who struggle to survive no matter how hard the condition be. We need people with the strongest will to survive, as a War is never won by strength but by one’s will, one’s heart.

It has been a week since the UN moon mission. I am sitting in my room, sipping tea and reading a detailed report. The report mentions the UN’s plan. As expected, the UN got their hands on the virus sample and have experimented with it. Though we haven’t found the results, it does not matter now. As some idiot has released the virus sample in an accident and it has become airborne. From the data we have gathered until today from the chip, the virus sample will take about 5 years to manifest its preliminary effect on the world. We do not have any idea of how it may affect our civilization. But now the time has come to implement the plan. A plan to fight those beings, for now, the battlefield is getting ready. Up till now, we have not yet got much clue about them apart from their power structure, but we have untapped yet another source of power. The chip contains knowledge about the use of cosmic energy compiled by our ancestors. We have figured out a way for us to harness that energy and utilize it accordingly.

 

Now it’s time to implement the project - The Seven Deadly Sins. Now it’s time to prepare for the storm about to arrive.
