Favourite Story From Grandma
The relation between me and my grandma is not a traditional dadi-grandchildren relation. I love my grandma very much and she loves me too more than my siblings. She denies me to call her dadi. I used to call her badi mammi. She cares for me more than my parents. My parents trust her so much that they feel, I and my sister and cousin are protected till we are with her at any place and in any situation. Badi mammi does not recite me stories. She narrates to me her past incidents or travelogue of the places she had visited. My grandma had visited all the religious places of India and even Nepal.
The incident told by her which I remembered at present was when she visited Mysore. I don't exactly remember the month of her visit. I think it was either October or November. She had visited various religious places of south India and historic forts. When she was returning from Mysore's fort, the bus driver forgot the way and took a wrong path which leads to the jungle. It was too dark. As they moved further and reached the mid of the jungle, suddenly two big elephants, one on the left and other on the right side of the bus started fighting. And the road was too dangerous. It was the mid of a hill and the valley.
The bus was in a dangerous situation. The elephants were huge having long tusks. They can even throw the bus into the valley. However, by God's grace driver took out the bus safely from there and found a person who guided them in the right way. After coming back from there all the people from the trip stayed in a hotel. But suddenly few tribal people (Adivasi) came with their bow and arrows targeting the tourists. Someone told that they should run away from this hotel otherwise they would be killed by these tribal people.
So they escaped quietly from that hotel. A huge thanks and hats off to that wise driver who saved all the people in these dangerous situations. I got so scared after listening to this incident. I asked, "don't you feel scared". She replied she felt scared when they were trapped but no one can hurt you even an inch till you have faith in God. So always keep faith in God. He will lead you to the right path.
