COVID Vaccination

It was all unplanned. The office I work in offered COVID vaccination and fortunately my husband and I got a slot for today. We both reached the vaccination site in the afternoon and after minimal formalities, we were directed to the doctor’s room. There was no waiting and everything was planned really well. Although I am very scared of injections, yet I registered without thinking twice on the opportunity.The fear did not control my mind until I sat down on the chair offered by the doctor before inducing the vaccine. My husband suggested that I look at the opposite side of the doctor to stay calm. 

Out of curiosity, I looked at the doctor while he was taking out the medicine. I was almost there on the verge of panic until the doctor started speaking. He gave basic instructions on what to avoid and what to do in case a fever comes up. My mind was registering his words but still I was prepared that any moment the syringe will be injected. A pinch happened for a millisecond and, guess what, the doctor said it's done. I could not believe it. It was unnoticeable and very quick. The doctor was very proficient in his job. Amid all the chaos and misconceptions, the vaccine experience turned out really smooth and painless.
